सर्वप्रथम जातीचं बंधन न पाळता तुम्ही एकमेकांवर प्रेम करत आहात त्याबद्दल तुमचं खूप कौतुक करायला पाहिजे. तुम्ही आणि ज्या व्यक्तीसोबत तुम्ही विवाह करू इच्छिता, अशा दोघांची तयारी असेल, मुख्य म्हणजे दोघं सज्ञान असतील , स्वतःच्या पायावर उभे असतील , स्वतंत्र रहायला तयार असतील तर विशेष विवाह कायद्याची मदत घेऊन आंतरजातीय अथवा आंतरधर्मीय लग्न करायला काहीच हरकत नाही.
विवाह नोंदणी कार्यालयामध्ये विवाह निबंधकासमक्ष कायदेशीररीत्या विवाहबद्ध होणे याला बोली भाषेमध्ये कोर्ट मॅरेज असे म्हटलं जातं. विवाह नोंदणी कार्यालयामध्ये विवाह इच्छुक मुलगा मुलगी व साक्षीदार यांच्या काही कागदपत्रांची पूर्तता करून कायदेशीररीत्या विवाहबद्ध होता येते. कायदेशीररीत्या विवाहबद्ध होण्याच्या प्रक्रियेविषयी तसेच सादर कराव्या लागणाऱ्या आवश्यक कागदपत्रांविषयीची सविस्तर माहिती तुम्हाला तुमच्या जिल्हा विवाह नोंदणी कार्यालयातून मिळू शकेल.
वैदिक, सत्यशोधक अथवा इतर पद्धतीनेही विवाहबद्ध होता येते. हिंदू विवाह कायद्यानुसार होम, सप्तपदी, कन्यादान इ. विधी पूर्ण झाल्यावरच विवाह झाला असं मानलं जात. खरंतर अशा पद्धतीने केलेल्या विवाहांनाही कायदेशीर मान्यता असते. पण कधीकधी असे विवाह सिद्ध करणे जिकीरीचे होऊ शकते. म्हणूनच विशेष विवाह पद्धतीने विवाह करणे हा सर्वात चांगला मार्ग आहे.
तुम्हाला घरच्यांच्या संमतीने लग्न करायचं असेल तर तुम्हाला धीराने, हिमतीने घ्यावं लागेल. गेल्या काही काळात वेगळ्या जातीच्या मुलाच्या किंवा मुलीच्या प्रेमात पडल्याबद्दल किंवा लग्न केल्याबद्दल मुलांना आणि खास करून मुलींना मोठ्या प्रमाणावर हिंसेचा सामना करावा लागला आहे. त्यामुळे घरच्यांचा विरोध असेल तर हिंमत ठेऊन आणि चिकाटीने त्याचा सामना करावा लागतो. समाज, शेजारी-पाजारी, नातेवाईक असे अनेक प्रकारचे दबाव आपल्यावर आणि आपल्या पालकांवर असतात. संस्कृती, जातीच्या, घराण्याच्या इज्ज्तीच्या खोट्या कल्पना, बंधनंही असतातच. कधी कधी त्यांची तयारी असली तरी या दबावाला तोंड देण्याचं बळ त्यांच्यामध्ये नसतं. अशा वेळी त्यांना आरोपीच्या पिंजऱ्यात उभं न करता त्यांचा पाठिंबा कसा मिळवता येईल याचा विचार करा. मात्र हा सोपा मार्ग नाही.
कधी कधी हा विरोध इतका तीव्र असतो की तो मावळतच नाही, अशा वेळी तुम्ही काय करणार आहात? हे दोघं मिळून विचार करून ठरवा. मुलींसाठी असा निर्णय घेणं कधी कधी जास्त अवघड असतं. तुमची दोघांची तयारी असेल, मुख्य म्हणजे दोघं सज्ञान असाल, स्वतःच्या पायावर उभे असाल, स्वतंत्र रहायला तयार असाल तर तुम्ही विशेष विवाह कायद्याची मदत घेऊन लग्न करू शकता.
आंतरजातीय विवाह करणे हा कायद्याने गुन्हा नाही. विशेष विवाह कायद्यानुसार आंतरजातीय विवाह हा कायदेशीर मानला जातो. पण तरीही आंतरजातीय विवाहाला अजूनही तितकीशी समाजमान्यता नाही हे वास्तव आहे. आंतरजातीय विवाहाला कुटुंबीय, समाज यांच्याकडून आजही तीव्र विरोध होतो. या विरोधातूनच ऑनर किलिंग सारखे प्रकार घडतात. वेगळ्या जातीच्या मुलाच्या किंवा मुलीच्या प्रेमात पडल्याबद्दल किंवा लग्न केल्याबद्दल मुलांना आणि मुलींना मोठ्या प्रमाणावर हिंसेचा सामना करावा लगतो. खरंतर , स्वतंत्र भारतात आजही जात पाळली जाते हा फार मोठा अन्याय आहे.
महाराष्ट्रात अशा संस्था-संघटना आहेत ज्या आंतर जातीय आणि आंतर धर्मीय विवाहांसाठी मदत करतात. त्यांची माहिती तुम्हाला हवी असेल तर तुम्ही आमच्याशी संपर्क साधू शकता. तुमचा निर्णय कौतुकास्पद आहे मात्र जे कराल ते विचाराने करा.

replied 9 years ago रितीरिवाजानुसार झालेल्या लग्नाची नोंद करण्याचा निर्णय अतिशय स्वागतार्ह आहे. तुम्हास तुमच्या लग्नाची नोदणी हिंदू विवाह कायदा १९५५ नुसार नक्कीच करता येईल. तुम्ही ज्या ठिकाणचे स्थायिक (दोघांपैकी किमान एका व्यक्तीचा तेथील रहिवासी पत्ता/कागदपत्र हवे.) आहात तिथे विवाह नोंदणी कार्यालय असेल. त्या ठिकाणी जाऊन विवाह नोंदणी फॉर्म भरावा. दोघांचे फोटो, दोघांचा वास्तव्याचा पुरावा, विवाह झाल्याचे affidavit, धार्मिक स्थळी लग्न केले असेल तर तेथील संबंधित व्यक्तीकडून (उदा.पुजारी) लग्न झाल्याचे सर्टिफिकेट/पावती, (असल्यास) लग्नाचा पुरावा म्हणून लग्न पत्रिका, फोटो इ. तसेच दोघांच्या वयाचा पुरावा, दोन साक्षीदारांचे ओळखपत्र, वयाचा पुरावा इ. कागदपत्रे लागतील. त्याचे सर्टिफिकेट तुम्हास त्याच दिवशी मिळून जाईल. ही नोंदणी तुम्ही स्वत: करू शकता. त्यासाठी वकिलाची गरज नाही.
